Hey guys, sorry about the lack of posting, I am currently out of culinary commission while I'm at home getting over a small, unexpected medical procedure. But fear not, before the pain got too bad I was able to whip up a delicious and simple pasta dish that you'll love. Once I'm back on my feet, I'll have it uploaded in no time.
In the meantime, check out this great article in the New York Times where Melissa Clark explains how she made a delicious Mexican/Southwest inspired potpie out of her Thanksgiving leftovers (I'd love to hear about what you made. I'm a Thanksgiving on a roll gal, myself). Then, read about Nick Fox's attempt to make a streamlined version of the perfect crusty loaf of bread here. And to close up your Olive Tree replacement session, read this great blog entry by Luisa at The Wednesday Chef where she details how Nick Fox's crusty bread turned out for her. It's a must read, and really emphasizes the greatness and ease of this now classic no knead bread recipe.
So there you go. By the time you finish reading all that, I'll probably be good to go and you'll be reading all about my veggie pasta dish. Sorry again for the delay and check back soon!

Feel better!
In the meantime, I'm in need of good brunch suggestions. It has to:
a.) take reservations
b.) be good for large parties
c.) be open on New Years (it's a birthday / new years brunch)
d.) preferrably be located below 34th St. or in Brooklyn
Put your thinking cap on...
Personally, I love leftovers as they are. But this year, we had so much leftover turkey that I had to come up with meals were freezable so it wouldn't go bad. I made turkey bolognese, which we both ate this week and freezed for later, shells stuffed with ricotta and turkey, and turkey enchiladas.
