Breakin' All The Rules

Well folks, it finally happened. I came home after helping a friend decorate her apartment, and I caved. I lumbered over to the kitchen, grabbed a delivery menu and slowly, with shame, dialed the number for my local pizza joint. A few minutes later I was breaking all the rules I'd made for myself and ignoring one important order from my doctor. Not only did I order out for dinner instead of making it, but I did something else...something bad. I ordered a soda. This may seem harmless to most people, but I've had a serious acid reflux problem since I was a kid. In my particular case, drinking anything carbonated with a large meal is strictly verboten. It's rarely an issue for me since I don't actually care much for soda, but I occasionally get an intense craving for this sweet nectar, or even better, a delicious cherry coke. This time, I somehow managed to eat an entire pepperoni pizza and wash it down with a 20 oz. I'm not proud of myself, and I know what I did was wrong. But it won't happen again. Really, I promise. At least not in the near future. Really (*wink*).
