It's probably absorbing a great deal when it cooks, just like the chicken and pasta do, so you may need more stock/water with each ingredient added.

I noticed the same thing about the chicken flavor, and I think for the next time, I'm going to play around with pre-salting the chicken. I'm going to try tossing it with salt, maybe a little onion powder, and leaving it in the fridge for 30 minutes to absorb the flavor. A really flavorful rub wouldn't hurt either, but I like to start with baby steps!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08829452037602966185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2586595453939991193.post-46801532036368890712010-05-04T23:18:50.538-04:002010-05-04T23:18:50.538-04:00Reporting back: we made it and added broccoli and ...Reporting back: we made it and added broccoli and chicken. Overall we really liked it especially the lemony flavor and the wonderful tang of the mint, but we had two challenges:
--the orzo clumped a little
--the chicken needed a little more flavor.
Any suggestions? We definitely want to make it again. :-)Kathrynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06536496960560649558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2586595453939991193.post-40209610825932998962010-05-04T15:02:10.076-04:002010-05-04T15:02:10.076-04:00That's excellent, I can't wait to hear how...That's excellent, I can't wait to hear how it turns out!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08829452037602966185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2586595453939991193.post-29742554362909058112010-05-04T14:35:35.965-04:002010-05-04T14:35:35.965-04:00Hi Laura!
